Altered Chipboard Tag

Hi everybody! Hope you’re having a fabulous week so far. Today, I have a fun tag that I altered using the Mouldings from the October Bad Girls Couture kit. I love tags; they are my favorite. For this project, I used a chipboard tag and vintage moulding by Prima Marketing.

The first thing I did was coat the chipboard tag in Heavy White Gesso with a paintbrush. I pushed the tag aside and used the Moulding and paper clay to make a border for the bottom of the tag. I gently peeled the mold from the Moulding then added a good amount of gesso at the bottom of the tag and gently pressed the Moulding on top of the gesso and let it sit to dry for 24 hours.

Once the tag was completely dry, I sprayed some of Prima Marketing Inc.’s Colour Blooms on the tag and used a brush to brush the mist onto the Moulding in the colors of Cobalt and Deep Teal. I splashed some Gold Glimmer Glam onto the tag as well. I stamped a butterfly image onto the tag using black ink and added some lace at the top of the tag to complete my project.

These Mouldings are addicting and so much fun to play with! What do you think? Are you ready to try these beauties out on your next project?!
