Make Craft Storage Pretty with Bad Girls Couture

In today’s culture, we are definitely working towards more recycling, re-purposing and up-cycling which is phenomenal for the earth and our pocket books.  When thinking of re-purposing an item as I sit at my craft desk, I come across a pet peeve of mine.  I like pretty storage, it helps to inspire me in my creating.  So as I sat there looking at my very un-inspiring small stack of drawers on my table, I had an idea.  Let’s make it PRETTY!  A sheet of paper, some ribbon, an alphabet stamp set, kraft paper and some glue…easy peasy!

You can see here just how uninspiring this little storage unit is, so lets make this bad boy PRETTY!
Cut out strips of paper to the height of each drawer, measure across but give yourself some extra length as this unit has a dipped in middle.  So I accounted for that.

Using a small alpha stamp set, stamp on kraft paper the category of items in each drawer. Cut them out, ink the edges and adhere to the drawer. Then add your choice of ribbon, this one was over an inch thick with design on each edge, I decided to cut it down the middle and then alternate the textures.

Do not forget the top to complete the look.

Hope this inspires you to repurpose not only items on your craft desk but all around your home.  The possibilities are endless.
