Hi everybody! I hope you’ve had a wonderful week. Today I am back with another layout I created using the January kit. For this layout, I decided to play with my stencils, mists, acrylic paint and thread to create a fun layout! I just love the vibe here!! Such a fun layout! There’s so many little details I love about this layout. Let me share them with you.
I used the triangle stencil from the December kit to create multiple triangles. Once the paint was dry, I splashed some teal mist to add more color. Then I hand stitched little plus signs randomly throughout the layout. I matted the base of the layout onto teal cardstock to help frame the layout. I had a tag in my stash that I used to frame my photo that is approximately 2″x2″. I love this photo of me with my little man.
I grabbed some buttons from my stash to embellish my layout. I don’t know what it is about me and buttons this month… I went a little crazy with them… I’ve had them in a jar on my desk for awhile now, untouched until this month.
I added a few buttons at the bottom of the layout and on the tag. I love how pretty the word stickers look on this layout. The stitched plus signs really adds so much charm to this layout. I just felt like the triangles were missing something… and then I thought of the plus signs, thinking about Edward PLUS me… and it totally worked.
I layered two buttons and tied them together to create a fun, unique embellishment for the tag.
Here is a closer look at the triangles, misting and stitching!
What do you think? Is there anything in your stash that you have not touched in awhile? Why not pull them out and think of a creative way to use them with your kit!
Thank you for visiting today!
