Hello bad girls,
I am going to be bad today and do something totally different using the items in this month’s fabulous kit.
I was very pleasantly surprised to receive the new gesso created by Wendy for the Bad Girls Couture Club, I love love gesso so much.
It is a must have staple item that everyone should have in their mixed media stash.
I took a plain black box with lid and with a brush covered the whole box with gesso. Using my heat tool I was able to dry it real quick to start my next step.
Once the gesso had dried I put my stencil from this months kit on lid and added a generous amount of gesso again to give my lid some texture, and dried the bottom edge so that I could repeat the pattern on bottom lid because the stencil was not big enough to cover the whole area. I just simply matched the designs and again added a generous amount of gesso. I then used my heat tool to completely dry the second layer on lid. To paint my lid I used the High Impact paint from last month’s kit and brushed it until it was completely covered .
To add the finishing touches I used a sponge and wax paste in Old Silver to the textured areas in the design to make it pop! I then added a sheer white ribbon with flowers and sprays to top it off.
The box is perfect to add a special gift under the tree this year for that special someone.
Thanks for stopping by, and I hoped I have inspired you to create beautiful gift boxes this holiday season.
Always, Michelle Rossibell
