Fussy cutting- this is one crabby layout

Hi everyone! This has been such a fun kit to work with. I’ve been doing a lot of fussy cutting lately. I love looking through my patterned papers for fun little patterns to use as die cuts on my projects. It’s super easy to do and it helps me save money on embellishments! Most of the time, I cut the patterns out using a pair of scissors, then I use foam squares to adhere them to my projects.

This layout has quite a bit of fussy cutting and lots of layering. I cut the tag from the cut-apart sheet to help frame my photo. The crab, celestial sun, boat and “the seashore” word flag were all cut from patterned paper. I stamped the “love this” rectangle onto patterned paper then cut it out using scissors to add another layer to the photo. The green and brown paper behind the photo is actually the packaging from the Prima flowers that I decided to recycle onto the layout! I am all about recycling… My husband thinks I am nuts… I may be… just a little nuts and crazy, but a fun one! haha

Since this is a beach layout, I added some torn paper at the bottom to make it took like ripped tides…

I cut the “Remember” title using my Silhouette Portrait to complete the layout. This is as about a junked up I could manage considering I tend to be more of a simple scrapbooker. 🙂 I hope I was able to inspire to try fussy cutting on your next project. I find that it can be very therapeutic!
