Live, Create, Tell The Story- Booklet Journal Page

Hi, Artsy Bad Girls!  It’s Tuesday and I’m back with a journal page to share.  So funny because yesterday Dale Ann shared the same booklet page with her work on it. I just love this kraft booklet option!  It’s the perfect size and has the most adorable shapes to it.  So, I was really excited to work on this piece of art. I made a video of my entire process.  I created with the entire booklet.  You are getting 4 pages in one here!

There were plenty of things for me to choose from in the making of this booklet.  I used scraps, stencils, chipboard, acrylic die cuts, Haute Mess Mediums and more! It’s packed with little surprises and fun details.  Check it out!

First page, using paints, Molding paste and lots of stencil work.  I used my favorite stencil to create texture, design and shape to this page.

Scribbling with an India Ink pen and stencil is not only fun to do but it gives the page a hand drawn look.

Second page spread has more stencils and paint.  I used Gel Medium as an adhesive and protectant here.   More Molding Paste creates dimension and Glass Bead Gel gives more texture.

Glass Bead Gel and glitter make this title shine!

The 3rd page spread came together with the help of Molding Paste, glitter,  found objects and text, and paint!

I love that saying because it’s so true!  I just open myself up to possibilities and using my favorite materials leads me to create something fun!

It is a pretty long video but considering all the pages that went with this little booklet for the Haute Mess Art Journal.  The Haute Mess Acrylic Paints were perfect to give a splash of color to each page and the Mediums just are so fun to use!  I used so many in this booklet work of art!

Here are the colors and mediums I used:

Haute Mess Mixed Media Acrylic paints-

Drama Queen

Drop Dead Gorgeous

Bad & Tatted

C-Note

Haute Mess Bad Girls Couture Mediums used-

Gesso

Molding Paste

Matte Gel Medium

Glass Bead Gel

I hope you were inspired and get a chance to create today!  Thanks!
