I love using every single last bit of my supplies! And, it’s a great way to repurpose too. For this layout, I used the packaging that the Prima Stencil came in. I mean, really… it was too pretty not to!
It was so easy to do a bit of fussy cutting… for both the script word, “cherish,” and that awesome key…
I also cut out bits of the lacy black border. Once I had those pretties, and all of my pattern paper bits, I simply lined them up at the top of my page, and stitched across it all with black thread. Easy peasy!
Some messy gesso, applied with a palette knife and some watercolors really set off all the fun patterns. Oh, and the gorgeous foam embellishments from the Thickers included in this month’s kit are the perfect touch too!
I also added the cute pink flower from the kit, as well as some enamel dots, sequins and buttons from my stash.
Yes! This layout was capital FUN to put together!
I just love using up every last bit, even if it’s just packaging. I hope this has encouraged you to find some use in things you have lying around and to do some repurposing of your own too!
Thanks for stopping by the blog today. See you soon!
