While each journal does come pre-loaded with 100 lb. Cardstock pages, you have the opportunity to customize your journal as per YOUR NEEDS. And this doesn’t mean only what kind of pages you desire in your Art Journal. This also means you get to choose your cover fabric, ribbon color, stitching on your pages, journal band, bead chain added to your binding, grommet color, and the size of your journal.

Our HAUTE MESS  MIXED MEDIA  ACRYLIC PAINTS  and MEDIUMS are perfect to use in our Haute Mess Art Journals.  Our paints are created to be ultra quick drying, paints and mediums are created to accept all mixed media. Our paint viscosity mixes easily with our mediums.

*All of our Haute Mess Art Journals have a built-in bookmarker made from our line of Vintage French Ribbon!

* All of our Haute Mess Art Journals are created with pockets on both front and back inner covers, that are made from 100% Authentic Vintage Fabric.

*All of our Haute Mess Art Journals come with two paint brushes. One Foam and one Natural Bristle. We love to use these brushes for coating pages with our Haute Mess Premium Gesso and other mediums, and they are great working with our Haute Mess Acrylic Paint.

*We only use the finest European Thread to stitch our canvas covers and inner pages of our Haute Mess Art Journal.

*Our Gold Grommets are SOLID BRASS. Our Antique Silver Grommets are SOLID ZINC.

Our Haute Mess Art Journals are available in 3 sizes:

1.25″- comes loaded with (20) 100 lb. White Cardstock Pages. Max Load 30 pages, but please keep in mind the thickness of some of the specialty pages.

1.75″- comes loaded with (25) 100 lb. White Cardstock Pages. Max Load 50 pages, but please keep in mind the thickness of some of the specialty pages.

2.00″- comes loaded with (30) 100 lb. White Cardstock Pages. Max Load 60 pages, but please keep in mind the thickness of some of the specialty pages.

The above is a good rule of thumb, while you may be able to get more or less pages in your Haute Mess Art Journal, depending on what pages are loaded and how thick your art is on your pages.

One of the hallmarks of the Haute Mess Art Journal is being able to create without limitations. Pages are designed to accept any and all mixed media without breaking down or transferring to the page next to it.

And no worries about how much you want to add to your page. You can make it as thick as you want and still be able to close the book. Our proprietary ribbon binding allows for as much space as you need between pages.
