ALTERED BOTTLE by Elena

Hello dear friends!
Today i’m with a new Mixed Media project.
I was inspired by the sophistication of ancient statues.
And I wanted to make an object reminiscent of that era.
Confess I never liked decorating bottles, and this time I was pretty skeptical.
However, the result that came out thanks to the chipboard exceeded all my expectations!
I got great satisfaction from both the process and the result!
Now I urgently need bottles of all sizes and shapes because I just fell in love with this format!
First, I primed the bottle with Premium White Gesso and stuck the chip:Checkerboard Panel
I wet the chipboard with water so it wouldn’t break and stuck it to the bottle.
Then I painted it with Bad Girls Couture paints. I used these shades: Make it rain и Last Sin
If you look closely you will notice a lot of gears of different sizes under the main composition.
Since they are painted to match the bottle, they are difficult to immediately notice.
However, they add volume and layering to my composition.
I used three sets of gears.:
One of the main decorations – chip Crown.
 I painted it with paints:
In the same colors I painted the Clock Face Frame and covered it with Glossy Accents by Ranger.
And additionally a little tinted alcohol ink
I took this lovely little key off one of the paint cans.
To add flicker to my work I tinted with wax
None of my work is complete without toppings.
I glued beads and glitter with Clear Gesso
I have made with the products by Bad Girls Couture:
I shall be delighted if you like my work and inspire you to create your own unique bottles.
Don’t be afraid to try something new and come back to topics you didn’t like before!
Life is full of amazing discoveries, let them fill your life!
Love, Elena!

Altered-art Light bulb and butterflies by Elena

Hello!!! Hello there lovely creative friends! Today I’d like to share with you my brand new inspiration – a mixed media altered-art with lovely amazing Bad Girls products!

I wanted to make an interesting and useful thing.

As a basis, I took the box-heart. I screwed the wire to the light bulb.

I painted the bulb with white gesso, added some crackle paste and art stones .

The box and the chipboard was painted Haute Mess Paints  Bad & Tatted

I attached a wire with a light bulb to the lid of the box with a glue gun and decorated with chipboard gears

Lost the box with candle and mint first colored paint, sanded and went a little pink paint

Made the bulb more bright and beautiful

Glued chipboard dial and hands by @2CraftyChipboard. On the lid I added flowers @Freetany_Flowers

The dial is decorated with fluttering butterflies from the new collection “Love of my life” by @lemoncraft.pl ?Box, added a sticker from @7dotsstudio

I have made with the products by Bad Girls Couture.

Song of the Butterfly – Upcycled Tea Can

Hey y’all!  I’m punching up the color today and adding some fun to an upcycled project.  I couldn’t bear to throw away this sturdy little tea can sooooo…I dolled it all up with some Bad Girlieness!

I wanted to focus on showing ya’ll the Haute Mess Gel Medium.  I love how you can use it to apply delicate items like I did here with this vintage sheet music and then layered on some sweet vintage butterfly cut outs.

I also added a painted and distressed clay embellishment to the top of the can and really love how it finishes it off.

If you want to see the entire process and all the paint colors and mediums I used, check out my video below.

Thanks for stoping by today!
