Art-journal page Make Memories by Elena + VIDEO

Good morning friends! My term with Bad Girls Couture is coming to an end and I am just now decorating the first page of my art journal. It’s been such a fun year playing in my one of a kind art journal. I have to admit, I wasn’t so sure I could do art journal spreads… the first few months were a challenge. After a few pages into the journal and stopped trying to hard and I just did whatever I liked. Some months, I scrapbooked a page in the art journal and others, I just pulled out my paints, molding paste and stencils and just created a fun mixed media background. SUPER FUN.
For this page, I used washi tape to create the triangles. Then I carefully added the stencil on the right side and created the pattern using molding paste. Once each triangle was completely dry, I made the others, touching up lightly here and there. Simple, but fun.
I used foam squares to mount the chipboard sentiment to the center then I glued the yellow gems below the chipboard to make it more feminine. I just love this page.
I am totally loving the color combination as well. I used Kiss & Don’t Tell and X-rated paint.
Come back on the 20th. I am going to create a fun flip through video of all the pages I created this year. If you haven’t purchased your Art Journal, do it today because you WILL love it. I have a brand new art journal waiting for me… This one is almost full!
Thanks so much for visiting. Hope you have a fabulous week!
Hi friends! Hope you are having a great day :)
For today’s post, I’ve created a altered-art project “Shutters”.
I’ve used newest papers from LemonCraft – ‘House of Roses Extra’ collection, HDF products by Agateria aand lovely amazing Bad Girls products!
For starters, I covered the blank with paint Grunge
Then I glued the paper and with a palette knife applied paint strokes Naked
To complicate the background and add color, added strokes of paints C-Note and Plastic Angel
Molding Paste added texture to the background.
Additionally decorated the background with stamps
Added Art-stones with Matte Gel

Thanks a lot for your precious time :)
Stay Blessed!

Happy Sunday everyone. Hope you’re enjoying your day! I have a really pretty mixed media spread to share with you today. I used lots of mixed media products to alter this Tag/3 Pocket spread from Bad Girls Couture’s shop!
Here is what the spread looks like before I started working on it. You can do so much with this adorable pocket page spread. I was going to add photos to each tag and then alter them, but then I decided to use inspirational sentiments instead. I just couldn’t decide on what photos to use… and I just wanted to create.
I started by painting the two tag pockets at the top using the Bad & Tatted acrylic paint, Then I used the Double Flower stencil from Art Anthologyl and Bad Girls Couture Molding Paste along with a palette knife to create the flowers. Once the molding paste was completely dry, I used the Broken Doll acrylic paint and Last Sin to color the flowers in a bit. I used Art Anthology’s Colorations Spray in Sky Blue to add some more color to the ribbon and tags.
As you can see, lots of beautiful textures and color went into this spread. I just love it.
What do you think? Fun, stuff! And to make this post even better, I’ve include a full video tutorial so you can see just how easy this spread was to make… seriously, not that complicated at all. It was totally fun.
Thanks for visiting today!
I painted background using Haute Mess Acrylic colors:
First Crush, Distortion , Dive Bar , Caution Tape
And Guild Trip for leaves.
I applied the Molding Paste through a stencil

Hello!
Do you like to use chipboard in your works? I just love it!
I don’t even throw out chipboard negatives. For my next project I used the negative and some chipboards by 2Crafty Chipboard.
I invite you to watch my video tutorial to see the whole process of creating my project. Enjoy!
I decided to decorate it with a funny picture of the girl-ballerina.
For a start, I painted the tag with Grunge paint, and then made the background brighter with Molding Paste and colors Oops! My Bad and Plastic Angel
I painted the chipboard circles with C-Note paint to contrast with the background.
Then I covered the chipboard with Glass Bead Gel. This gave the necessary texture and volume.

Hello! Hello friends, Elena here with you today with my new inspiration!
I decided to decorate the canvas using photo of me and my daughter and chipboard by 2Crafty
and excellent products by Bad Girls Couture.
For my project, I used wonderful sprays by Lindy’s to create the background.
To make the surface more voluminous and textured, I applied the Haute Mess – Molding Paste through a stencil
I used a lot of different colors from Bad Girls Couture for coloring chipboard.
Mixed them together to get smooth color transitions.
Then covered it with embossing powder.
This made the colors brighter and added gloss.
I used chipboard Boho Floral Arrow. I’m just in love with this wonderful design !!!
I added Prima’s flowers as a base for the chipboard and creating layers and volume.
I have made with this products by Bad Girls Couture.

Well that is all from me today. Have a great weekend and a beautiful week ahead.
Until next time happy scrapping.

Hope you like and I have video for you to watch if you would like to see my process.
I applied the Molding Paste through a stencil, and then another Glass Bead Gel.
After drying, it gives an interesting texture and beautifully shimmers in the light!
I took photos from different angles, so it was better to see how to lay this gel

Good morning! I know that for some of you, mixed media makes you nervous. Listen, I get it…but you have no idea how much fun you are missing by not giving these journals, paints and molding paste a try. So…today, my goal is to show you how EASY it is to create a mixed media journal spread. You do not need to have a lot of product to do these spreads. If you have paint, molding paste and some stencils with a few scraps…that’s all you need.
I made this spread last weekend when I was bored and I didn’t really want to scrapbook a layout. But I wanted to play and get messy. I found the “Believe you can and you will” sticker in my stash and thought, I love that! I need to put that on a journal page as a good reminder to myself.
To begin this spread, I painted the stitched cardstock journal page using the Ooops! My Bad Haute Mess Acrylic Paint. You don’t want to completely cover it using the paint. Allow some white to peak through.
Once it’s almost completely dry, add some of the “Drop Dead Gorgeous” paint. Again, leave some white showing. You can paint over the first layer of paint.
Next, use a palette knife to spread on some of the ” X-rated” paint. I like using the palette knife because it creates a different look depending on how hard you press on the palette knife when scraping across the page.
Once the yellow is dry, use the Haute Mess Molding Paste and a stencil to create some fun designs! I like using this technique because it really brings the colors out!
When applying the Haute Mess Molding Paste across the stencil, be sure to hold the stencil in place so it does not move which will cause smearing. Also, make sure to spread a good amount of paste over the stencil and go over the stencil in one direction. I normally spread the paste from top to bottom in one fluid movement. Then, I repeat this process until the entire stencil is covered. Once the entire stencil is covered, you can carefully scrape any excess paste off the stencil to add it back to the jar. Carefully, lift the stencil off the journal page and let it try for one hour.
And here it is… amazing, right!? And super fun!
To complete the spread, I hand-cut a buttefly image from patterned paper and then used my fingers to rub the paint on the butterfly to create a neat, blended look. Then I used Yes Paste to glue the butterfly to the center of the page. Once the glue was dry, I used foam squares to add the “Believe you can and you will” sticker to the center of the butterfly using a few foam squares. Then I fed a piece of ribbon through the metal key and adhered it to the center of the butterfly using a Heavy Matte Gel. I added a few spashes of Turquoise Glimmer Mist and White Spray Ink just for fun.
That’s all there is to this journal spread! Think you’re ready to make one of your own? I can’t wait to see your creations in our gallery!
