Canvas Moon by Elena Martynova

Hello! Hello friends, Elena here with you today with my new inspiration!

I decided to decorate the canvas using photo of me and my daughter and  chipboard by 2Crafty

and excellent products by Bad Girls Couture.

For my project, I used wonderful sprays by Lindy’s  to create the background.

To make the surface more voluminous and textured, I applied the Haute Mess – Molding Paste through a stencil

I used a lot of different colors from Bad Girls Couture for coloring chipboard.

Mixed them together to get smooth color transitions.

Then covered it with embossing powder.

This made the colors brighter and added gloss.

I used chipboard Boho Floral Arrow.   I’m just in love with this wonderful design !!!

I added Prima’s flowers as a base for the chipboard and creating layers and volume.

I have made with this products by Bad Girls Couture.

Haute Mess Mediums:

Haute Mess Medium – Clear Gesso

Haute Mess – Molding Paste

Haute Mess Paints:

Bad & Tatted

Fallen Angel

Last Sin

Mannequin

Well that is all from me today. Have a great weekend and a beautiful week ahead.

Until next time happy scrapping.

Art-journal page Follow your dreams by Elena Martynova

Hello dear friends!
Today I’m with a new Mixed Media project – and it’s again Art-journal page.
I chose the pink canvas page to create my project.

Hope you like and I have video for you to watch if you would like to see my process.

I painted background using Haute Mess Acrylic colors:

I applied the Molding Paste through a stencil, and then another Glass Bead Gel.

After drying, it gives an interesting texture and beautifully shimmers in the light!

I took photos from different angles, so it was better to see how to lay this gel

Thank you so much for joining us today. I hope you enjoyed your time here on the blog.

Till next time, have fun and enjoy your creative time.

Canvas My soul’s garden by Elena

Hello! Hello Bad girls!
It’s Elena here today to share a project with you.
I have created a Mixed Media canvas, using my favourite Haute Mess Mediums & Paints.

I very rarely buy a finished canvas in the store.

As a rule, I make it myself from a box of chocolates and a piece of cloth.

I paint the Haute Mess White Gesso well and dry it.

In addition, I tried to get rid of another unnecessary thing.

It’s a little rake from the garden set. I use small shovels to transplant potted flowers,

but the rake is always not in demand.

To start, I smeared the paint on the canvas.

Then applied texture paste and craquelure paste to create the effect of cracked plaster.

Painted rake: handle with Caution Tape  and Million Dollar Baby

and the rake with Kiss & Don’t Tell and Drop Dead Gorgeous

Decorated with flowers, sisal, chipboard and carved pictures.

I have then used my Haute Mess Glass Bead Gel, to add texture to the canvas.

I love my garden, when spring comes, I just love to plant plants and care for them!

I hope I was able to share with you my love of nature in this canvas!

Art Journal Page with Tags+ VIDEO by Elena

Hello there lovely creative friends! Today I’m working with tags page in my “COBBLESTONE LANE” Art Journal.

That’s what I like to do in the art journal from Bad Girls, so the fact that it has a variety of pages! No, you can do that yourself, of course but first you need to think about it :))))

The very first page in it was with pockets and tags. Maybe I wouldn’t decorate it. but in schedule for DT was clearly referred, that it is necessary to subject to embellishment this page!

How I did it you can watch in the video :)))

https://youtu.be/2GllEro5tVI

Decorated the pockets with the tags and stickers from 7 DOTs. I usually have them piling up, and then just convenient, glue smear is not necessary and it turns out very quickly!

For the first tag and I’ve got these paints from Bad Girls:  Torrid,  Last Sin ,  Distortion

On the second tag experimented with other colors Dive Bar,  C-Note,  Million Dollar Baby

For the third tag chose warm shades:Caution Tape,  Grunge,  Oops! My Bad

Well that is all from me today.
Until next time happy scrapping.

Art-journal page Funny Granny by Elena

Hello, lovely friends! Elena here with my latest page for the Bad Girls Couture in my “COBBLESTONE LANE” Art Journal.

I have prepared a small tutorial for you, it will be a little lower.

Old age is not always sadness, disease and grumbling. It’s time to release your inner demons (or butterflies, who have both) and live the rest of  life to the fullest :)))

At least when I’m 80, that’s what I’ll do. :)))

My mini-tutorial:

First I made one layer of Clear Gesso.

Now it’s time to use paint! I chose these shades:  X-Rated, Drama Queen,

Million Dollar Baby,Naked, Bye Felicia and Oops! My Bad

Struck archival ink through the stencil. Once everything was dry, I complicated the background with stamps, tapes and archival ink.

Added stickers and a photo.

Glued a butterfly aand  decorated sequins with Clear Gesso.

I hope you like my page today! Thank you for dropping by and until next time! Happy crafting!

Thumbelina in a tin of canned fish by Elena

Hello to all! A huge welcome to you my Bad Girls friends!

Bad Girls Couture carefully relates to ecology and environment. Therefore, every Thursday our designers show how to make interesting art objects out of garbage.

I have long wanted to decorate the oval jar of sprat :))) Therefore, when among the variety of choices of canned food in the store ceases question what brand to take. I don’t have any doubts! Oval only :)))

To begin with, we ate sprats and washed the jar twice in the dishwasher. Then a couple of layers of Premium White Gesso and thorough drying.

Another “like garbage” – the dried seed pods of a tree peony. However, they are very similar to exotic flowers! Added them color and brightness with the help of paints: Guild Trip,Torrid, X-Rated

Chipboard painted with natural shades of colors:C-Note, Distortion, Dive Bar , Drama Queen, Million Dollar Baby

Painted the bottom of the jar. Drew tropical leaves.

Made here is such mushrooms from paper and wire.

After all the items are properly dried. I started to assemble the composition.

Put on the bottom of the green sisal, glued flowers, chipboard and walnut shell. By the way, the shell gave me the idea of the plot. After all Thumbelina the whether slept, whether swam in that shell :))) No matter how-that she probably used :)))

On chipboard glued painted the gauze with a  Clear Gesso

Added a picture of a girl

Sprinkle glitter and art – stones

Ready! That’s the result of my work!
Do not rush to throw something is not necessary! A little fantasy. and you will get an unusual and unique work!

Thank you for visiting, have a lovely crafty day!

Tag with Cupid by Elena Martynova

Hello! Today, Elena is with you.

Creative people are very interesting personalities. For years, we can save up all the garbage to one day remember about it, and turn it into something beautiful.

Here I am! I bought a knife sharpener that was attached to a wonderful cardboard tag! What scraper in his right mind can throw away this treasure?

I decided to decorate it with a funny picture of the boy-Cupid, which I found in Pinterest.
For a start, I painted the tag with Premium White Gesso, and then made the background brighter with colors Couture Pink and Sweet Candy Kisses

I added stamps and cut out pictures from AB Studio paper. Chipboard 2Crafty in the form of a dial attached to the plaster thing. I wanted  to contrast it with the background, so I painted it shades of blue and green: Make it rain and Million Dollar Baby

Added a sticker with the inscription from 7 DOTs.

Combined all the elements with a Glass Bead Gel
It perfectly stuck to the micro-beads, art-stones and glitter.

I made brighter Stamps and cut flowers . Just spread the paint with water and ran a brush on the elements.
The Bunny holds in paws the same key that was attached to paint cans.

I was glad to inspire you today! See you soon, bye-bye!

Vintage Art-journal page with Elena + Tutorial

Happy Wednesday!! A huge welcome to you my Bad Girls friends!

Today I’m working with two gesso and many paints to create a  mixed media page in my “COBBLESTONE LANE” Art Journal.

I chose to decorate Canvas page.

This time I decided to remember that time, when I tried decoupage.

I still have a small collection of napkins with interesting drawings.

Why not try to use them when creating a page in an Art Journal?

All the more in Art Journal from Bad Girls there is page reminiscent of a canvas.

Dense cardstock and primed fabric.

First I made one layer of Clear Gesso. Then pasted pieces of pages from the old dictionary and a layer of napkins for decoupage.

It is better not to cut pictures from napkins, and tear them off. So the edges are more thin and uneven, which will better implant them in the background.

Added another coat of Clear Gesso.

Added strokes with Premium White Gesso to muffle the bright color of the pieces of paper and combine them together.

Once everything was dry, I complicated the background with stamps and archival ink.

Applied a Molding Paste through a stencil

Now it’s time to use paint! I chose these shades:

I didn’t like that the edges are too much white, so I tinted them with Bad & Tatted .
Added a little splashes

I was satisfied with what turned out to be a page, but something was missing…

So I decided to revive it with bright green paint Million Dollar Baby,

and purple Hippie In High Heels

Added sticker by 7 Dots Studio.

I love to use napkins for decoupage. That I’ve put a few more on hold for the next projects!

I hope you were interested and you also decide to try my way to create pages in an Art Journal!

and some close-ups

Well that is all from me today.
Until next time happy scrapping.

Art Journal My Hero + VIDEO

Hello scrappy friends!

It’s Elena here today to share my  page in “COBBLESTONE LANE” Art Journal.

It has a Cream colored canvas cover.

I chose to decorate Vintage Music page.

It consists of a sheet of thick cardboard and a sheet of real music,

which are glued and stitched on the edge.

You can watch the full process video for this page

https://youtu.be/1WXrgyAs_1Y

The photo for the page is not chosen by chance. It depicts a Russian rock singer Zemfira.

She also writes lyrics and music. I love her sensual and soulful songs.

I used several shades of paint to combine the photo and the background into one.

Used Clear Gesso to glue the mini-sequins on.

They are like notes or streams of music scattered on the page

Added the appropriate meaning of the quote stickers by 7 Dots Studio.

I have used the following Products:
