Good morning ladies!! Happy Monday! Today I am sharing a layout I created using the January kit! This kit is sooooo pretty. I just love all the 7 Dots Studio Paper and stickers and the chipboard is totally fun! And let’s not forget the beautiful flowers!

I came across this photo from a long time ago… this was my 21st birthday party and it brought a smile to my face… occasionally, I like to scrapbook older photos to look back on those fun times!! And this was such a great night…one of my best birthdays ever.

For this layout, I decided to make my flowers work for my layout… and since using pink was out of the question, I decided to use the pretty Glimmer Glam paint to paint them! They add such a gorgeous shimmer too! I coated the flowers a few times to add a few layers of paint to make the flowers more opaque.

I love the word stickers in this kit. They are fabulous! I cut a few of the words from some of the sentiments to make them work for me. I used the circle stickers to create a fun little border at the bottom of the layout to help pull it together. And for fun, I added a button on top of the circle sticker below the flower just because I wanted more circles on this layout. :)

I coated the chipboard with a few coats of paint to use as a chipboard leaf. It totally works! Also, I painted the brad too. Yea, I got a bit out of control with the paint… I LOVE PAINT. It’s so fun getting messy after a crazy day of work… I was totally in my zone when I created this layout.

What do you think? Are you ready to get messy? You really can’t go wrong with paint, chipboard and flowers… just paint and have fun! Enjoy the process! Some Serious Bad Ass Fussy Cutting

When I see full sheets of paper with flowers and designs that can be cut out, I tend to go to town on it.  I am a true fussy cutter and find that when I am doing this fine cutting that it completely relaxes me. It is one of the few times that I can push out all the other thoughts and stay focused on what I am doing.  With the beautiful papers that came in the kit, there was a plethora of designs to cut out and go crazy with on this layout.

Just keep cutting out all kinds of designs and layering them with foam squares to give it dimension.

To add a little extra effect, cut and curl some paper and tuck it behind a piece that is adhered to a foam square, distress and ink the edges and add some pearl effects.
