Repurposed Trash to Art
Happy 4th of July to all my artsy friends out there in the blogosphere! On this summer Thursday, I am bringing you a Mini Art Journal that I have made out of repurposed Hawaiian Punch Drink Mix boxes! I had been saving these boxes up for some time, and decided it was time to either use them or lose them! For this project I cut the boxes down and used the front and the back pages of the box. I gathered all my favorite Haute Mess Acrylic Paints and mediums, a jump ring, a glue stick and my hole punch.
I made this particular mini art journal for a friend of mine who has been going through some rough stuff in her life. So I wanted to create something beautiful that would be encouraging and uplifting to her spirit. I have used stencils, scrapbook paper and lots of word stickers to create this little treasure full of hope and inspiring messages.
I have combined the Haute Mess acrylic paints with paper butterflies, fussy cut flowers with gesso and glass bead gel, also from Haute Mess, to create a shabby chic look on these pages. I have really enjoyed working small and creating each and every page. Here is a look at the individual pages.
All of the paints and mediums can be purchased now in the Bad Girls Couture shoppe! Head over now and check it out! I hope you enjoyed looking through my mini art journal and that it inspires some creative time for you on this holiday!
Until Next Time, Dale Ann
