Good morning baddies!!! We are sooooo excited to share the February kit with you. If you love mixed media kits, this kit is perfect for you! This month’s kit includes Crate Paper, a chipboard album by Maya Road, Prima Marketing stencil and flower, a variety of vintage fabrics. And last, but not least, Bad Girls Couture’s molding paste. Our molding paste is premium quality made in the United States and it works well with stencils. What do you think?! Are you ready to get your scrap on?!!
Before you go, check out this layout I created using the kit. I love using circles on my layouts, especially when I am working on a mixed media layout. They add so much impact to a layout. I used Creative Memories Custom Circle System, but you can use a bowl and pen to trace a circle around your layout. Before I traced the circles on the cardstock, I covered the paper using white gesso. Once the gesso dried, I splashed a few colors of mists and paint onto the cardstock. Then I traced the circles once the paint and mist dried. I used the pink Glimmer Glam paint and a paintbrush to paint another circle around the circle to add more color.
I love the packaging of the flowers in this kit. The flowers are adhered to a hard plastic sheet that has doilies on it! It was too pretty to throw away so I cut a few of them out to use on my layout.
I cut a piece of doily in half and tucked behind the bottom of the photos. I used the chipboard frame to frame the picture of my sister and used foam squares to adhere the “You are my happy” chipboard to the bottom of the frame.
I added a few jewels, metal stars and buttons from my stash to decorate the circle. The chipboard hearts were part of the kit. I added a few other pieces of chipboard to the layout to help frame the photos nicely.
Thanks so much for visiting today! We hope you love this month’s kit as much as we love it!! If you love what you see, subscribe today, here!
